Sergio García
Sergio Garcia is a Cuban-American artist who has made Miami, Florida
his home. He is self-taught and has received important influences from
Cuban artists from the "Generación de los 80," coupled
with his love of symbols and iconography often equated with Santeria.
His textures and almost sculptural renderings on wood and canvas have
elicited a strong following throughout the United States, where he has
participated in several solo and group exhibitions. He has received considerable
attention from art critics and the press including "The Miami Herald"
(Armando Alvarez-Bravo), and "Art Nexus" international art magazine.
